Help Your Clients Plan for Aging with Confidence

As a financial planner, you understand the importance of preparing clients for life’s major transitions. But when aging, caregiving, and end-of-life planning enter the picture, families are often emotionally overwhelmed and logistically unprepared.

Helping You Guide Clients Through the Aging Journey

Since 2011, Care Right has partnered with families as a trusted, neutral resource—facilitating critical conversations, clarifying care options, and guiding informed, financially sound decisions before a crisis occurs.

We specialize in supporting financial professionals like you by addressing the often-overlooked realities of aging, caregiving, dementia, and end-of-life planning. Our role is to complement your financial guidance by helping your clients proactively prepare for the emotional, logistical, and practical challenges that can derail even the best-laid financial plans.

As third-party facilitators, we bring structure to difficult family discussions and provide clarity around aging-in-place options, senior care choices, dementia progression, and long-term care planning. Most families come to us feeling overwhelmed and unprepared—reacting to emergencies instead of planning ahead. Tools like our Digital Grab-and-Go Binder empower your clients to respond with confidence, reducing stress while preserving both family harmony and financial stability.

By integrating Care Right into your advisory process, you extend your value beyond numbers—strengthening trust, deepening relationships, and helping your clients plan for life, not just retirement.

Why the Aging Plan Matters

An Aging Plan is a proactive, family-centered roadmap that saves time, money, and emotional strain. Facilitated by a neutral third-party expert, it opens the door to essential conversations that most families avoid or don’t know how to have—conversations about care preferences, financial responsibilities, roles, and expectations.

When your clients have an Aging Plan in place:

  • Family communication improves, reducing conflict and uncertainty

  • They avoid reactionary, high-stress decision-making during a crisis

  • Caregiver burnout and compassion fatigue are prevented through clarity and shared responsibilities

  • Immediate and long-term care needs are identified based on current health and financial realities

  • Clients gain a full understanding of their care options, cost implications, and support resources

What the Aging Plan Includes:

  • A guided family meeting facilitated by a neutral professional

  • Identification of what is and isn’t working well in the current care situation

  • Clear strategies for who will provide care and how it will be paid for

  • A detailed Facility/Community Matrix with vetted options based on family geography and needs

  • Coaching on how to interview home care companies and senior living communities

  • Education for adult children on aging, care planning, and how to prepare for their own future needs

Partnering with a Certified Aging Strategist ensures your clients are prepared—not panicked—when aging challenges arise. It enhances the financial planning process, supports intergenerational trust, and positions you as a comprehensive, forward-thinking advisor.

For Families

Thank you for your interest in Care Right’s consulting services—aging planning, crisis management, care advocacy, family support, and dementia education so you can be better equipped for aging, dementia progression, and making care decisions.

Our goals are the same as what families share their goals are:

  • Parents don’t want to be a burden on their kids

  • Parents want to age at home

  • Adult kids want their parents to be safe, happy, and have the best quality of life and care possible

We also know that no one gets healthier, more able-bodied, or more cognitive as they age, and we know that health conditions change very, very quickly, thrusting adult kids into immediate crisis and often immediate caregivers, without any family discussion of the “what whens”.  We also know that most families do not understand dementia, do not understand the landscape of senior care, the differences in levels of care, how to pay for care, and managing the changing family dynamics throughout the aging, caregiving and dementia journey is tricky for most families.

Being in uncharted territory and thrust into having to make big decisions quickly is incredibly overwhelming and uncomfortable, yet that is the predicament nearly every family finds themselves in when they begin working with us.  92% of our families come to us in crisis mode, and 85% of families need our family mediation services.

The Aging Plan “solves for”:

  • Families making knee-jerk decisions vs thoughtful and informed decisions

  • Families are making expensive decisions because they thought they knew what they were doing or listened to “neighbor Joe”

  • Caregiver burnout.  When proper systems, supports, and a plan is in place, caregiving will not derail your career, emotional and physical health, and your relationships

  • Family relationship strain.  When families better understand aging, dementia, care costs, care options, and how to communicate more effectively, relationships improve

  • Families rarely understand dementia.  It’s hard to plan properly and cope with something you don’t understand.

  • Families tend to be shocked at the actual costs of care.  We help you understand care costs, what your aging at home care budget so you don’t jeopardize future care options

  • Families are not having their documents in order.  Most families never talk about what is in place (power of attorney docs, long-term care insurance, VA pension, etc.), and adult kids spend

  • hours of time trying to sort out what parents have in place, account info, who the

  • professionals are, like attorney, CPA, and financial advisor.

Questions to ask yourself:

  • How long have I been “stumbling through” what to do, and what impact has this had on me, my family, my finances, and my health

  • How sustainable is what we are doing as a family, or I as a caregiver

  • How do I want to spend my time and energy with my loved one—feeling angry, overwhelmed, resentful, or spending my time enjoying my loved one and just being the son or the daughter (or spouse)

  • How much grit do I have left in me to keep on this path

  • Am I 100% confident in the decisions I am making with/for my loved one

  • Am I ready to get my life, career, marriage, relationships, and emotional/physical health back on track

  • Is my loved one safe, happy, living their best life, the way we are handling things right now

  • If I quantified missed work, frustration and overwhelm, strained relationships, emergency travel costs, lost vacation days because of another crisis, crisis calls at all hours of the day/night, does it make sense to invest in an Aging Plan or keep doing what I’m doing

  • Does it make sense to put a plan in place or be willy-nilly and hope for the best

  • Do I know/have a copy of everything I need if I have to step in as a decision-maker? (insurance policies, accounts, passwords, power of attorney, business succession plans, funeral arrangements, VA paperwork, etc.---the digital Grab and Go solution we offer)

Care Right Inc. has offered virtual geriatric and special needs consulting services to families across the US since 2011. We know the aging process is bumpy and families often find themselves in unfamiliar territory and can quickly become overwhelmed with their loved one’s health, ever-changing needs, and feeling confident with care decisions. Often, families are ill-informed or confused about care options.  Adult kids find themselves thrust into caregiving.  In time, compassion fatigue/caregiver burnout/strained family relationships become apparent. Adult kids find themselves overwhelmed trying to balance work/business, family, self-care, and the needs of aging parents.  Additionally, adult kids often just want to be “the son or daughter” and not have to manage the day-to-day needs.  Our solutions allow families to achieve that goal.

While we have services and products for every budget, most families are in crisis mode and need direct consulting (and answers/solutions) fast because time is of the essence.

You likely are working with family caregivers, whether adult kids or the "healthier" spouse.

Questions to ask your clients to prompt these conversations:

  • Are you a family caregiver

  • Is there anything impacting your personal wellbeing, finances, health, and relationships

  • What conversations have you had with your family about the "what whens" of aging

To make a referral:

"We have your financial plan in order, but just as important is an Aging Plan.  Care Right Inc has been curated for our clients to help our clients understand aging, caregiving, dementia, and senior care.  They offer a free 30-minute consult.  I'd like to do an email introduction," ....and then do the email introduction.

How Care Right adds value:

  • We are the experts in family relationships, family meetings, dementia/chronic disease progression, the landscape of senior care, senior care costs, senior care planning, dying and death, and grief.

  • When families have an Aging Plan (understand the disease they are managing, have enough supports in place for the aging/ill loved one + the family caregiver, understand their care options for aging at home  + the care options and costs of care, all will have much better outcomes

  • Saves your families the time, money, stress, angst, and learning curve of trying to figure out aging, caregiving, senior care navigation, and dementia progression

  • Our "Grab and Go" checklist helps families understand all of the important documents, accounts, passwords, business succession plans, pet care plans, etc.

  • We join in families' journeys wherever they are-wherever they live, and wherever they are in their decision-making journey.  All services are remote/virtual and have been since 2011, when Annalee started Care Right Inc.

  • Families often remain on our "care packages" to help them implement their Aging Plan/Crisis Plan, provide ongoing guidance with care decisions, manage dementia progression, and ongoing support for the whole family
